Another exciting event has appeared on the Flutter event roadmap - the Flutter & Friends conference (September 3-5th) in Stockholm. Not so long ago, in July, our team attended and spoke at another event, Fluttercon, but we could not resist joining this one. There are never enough Flutter events, and we love to support them! So this time, LeanCode also became the Silver Sponsor.

LeanCode talks at Flutter & Friends

During Flutter & Friends conference, you can find 2 talks delivered by LeanCode team members. The first one will be given by Mateusz Wojtczak, our Head of Mobile. You can join his lightning talk on September 4th, at 1.40 PM on the Exhibition Stage, to find out more about “Supercharged UI testing with Patrol.” Mateusz will share more about common issues with integration testing that Flutter developers often have and how Patrol solves them.

Here, you can find Patrol, our open-source Flutter UI testing framework.

The second talk you can join a bit later, at 4:00 PM on the Main Stage also on September 4th. It will be about  “Building a large-scale Flutter mobile banking application with 25 Flutter Devs”. In a joint talk with Albert Wolszon, our Senior Flutter Developer, Mateusz Wojtczak, our Head of Mobile, will be telling you how to set up an enterprise Flutter project. A project spread across different teams, companies, and business domains. Such knowledge is usually hard to find, so we think it is worth joining.

Here, you can find our Building Mobile Banking Apps with Flutter eBook based on this project.

What to expect from the Flutter & Friends conference?

First and foremost - Networking! Flutter & Friends is a dual-track conference prepared for the community by the community. It’s all about meeting new people and learning from each other. That's also why its organizers have planned several pre-opening activities a day before actual events on the conference stage. On Sunday, September 3rd, you can join: the Stockholm City Bike Tour, Stockholm Islands Kayak Tour, Gröna Lund Theme Park Pentathlon, HeySthlm Arcade & VREX, Bouldering at Klättercentret or a Skansen Zoo + Aquarium + Historic village tour. In the evening, there is also a Flutter Pub Quiz.

The second one is knowledge. On September 4th, attendees will join talks at The Main Stage and the Exhibition Stage. The idea behind these two differs. At the Main stage, there will be talks dedicated to more complex topics based on real cases, for which speakers will have around 40 minutes. The Exhibition Stage is dedicated to lightning 20-minute talks where speakers will share tips that can help you improve your Flutter project or inspire. We think it’s worth combining both, so take a look at the conference schedule and plan wisely. But that’s not all. On September 5th, there will be a day full of workshops.

Summing up

We hope to see many of you at the Flutter & Friends conference in Stockholm. It’s another great occasion to meet new people from the Flutter community, learn, and do something together. Also, besides our speakers, there will be a chance to catch other members of our mobile development company as well as the LeanCode founders - Łukasz Kosman and Jakub Wojtczak, so if you have any questions or would like to discuss a Flutter-related topic, it will be a good time to do so. See you there!
